Performance-based Grading
✽ Grades are earned by students, not given by teachers. Grades are based on a student's performance and effort.
✽ Standards-based grading focuses students on the learning. They are able to answer for themselves the questions of what they know and can do with their knowledge and what they have “not yet” mastered.
✽ What are "Standards"? What is taught in our classes has been divided into a number of learning objectives or “standards” that are aligned with the state curricula. These standards are the things that a student should know or be able to do by the end of a unit or course.
